Intro

The preview panel allows you to view a preview of your Messenger while you are configuring it.

In order to get the preview to appear in the panel, a messenger has to be configured by adding cards to it. You need a minimum of at least one card configured in order for the messenger to appear as a preview. This can be done in the Messenger Tab.

You can configure the language you want to preview your widget in, as well as set the background color where the widget rests, in order to get a better idea of what your messenger will look like in production.

Preview as Guest vs. Specific User

Previewing as a guest allows you to view the widget according to the appropriate usergroup permissions.

Additionally, if you wish to preview the panel as a specific user, then you can do so. Viewing as a specific user will mirror what the widget would look like according to their usergroup permissions. For example, if you have cards configured for guests versus. VIP customers, then you would see those differences here.

Warning

Viewing the widget as a specific user enters you into imitation mode. Any actions you take here will be reflected in the live helpdesk system (e.g. a real ticket will be created and a real message will be sent as if it were sent by them). //
