If you post news content frequently, then the News Card can help keep your users aware of your latest developments. With this feature, you can ensure your latest releases, updates, or announcements are kept at the top of your users minds.

You have 2 methods to implement News content in your widget, either through a News Card on the Home Tab, or through a News Tab that you can add to your Messenger for a more focused experience.

News on Home Tab

To get started with News on your Home Tab, you need to add and configure the News Card.

The first step is to choose whether you wish to display a single news post or multiple.

You can then give the News Card a title that will show on the Card in the widget.

If you only want the News Card to pull the the most recent news posts, then you can by selecting Show the latest posts. You can select how many of the latest posts you wish to show and they will display in descending chronological order, from newest to oldest.

💡 Be sure to select a News Category if you decide to use this setting, as the News Card will reference it to determine which articles to post.

You can also manually select specific news posts you wish to highlight. If you choose this option, then you can search, select, reorder, and delete the content you wish to display.

News Tab

If you wish to add a News Tab to your widget, it will display all your news posts in descending chronological order. A user will then be able to browse and read news posts within the widget.

Lastly, select the usergroup permissions. This allows you to choose who can and cannot see the Help Content Card. If you do not add any, then the Help Content Card will default to show for all guests, however, they will only be able to search and view articles they have permission to see. If you wish to exclude certain permission groups from viewing this card, you can add them to the Exclude list.
