The options in a choice field can be nested into sub-options, and those sub-options can have sub-options in turn. Nesting can go as deep as you like.

To create nested options, select the field type as Select Field, this will allow you to create multiple options within the field as  parent (i.e. it will contain the new option/s).

Fill up the field details before you click Create.

In the image above, the ‘Option A.1’ field option is created nested under the Option A field option, making Option A.1 a sub-option.

Use the handles at the left to re-order the options, and the X button at right to delete an option.

While category and product fields can be nested one layer deep (so you can have sub-categories and sub-products), you can nest custom choice fields as deep as you like. For example, you can go on to create sub-options under Option A.1.

This is how a nested select box choice field is displayed on the Help Center and Agent interface:

Note

Only the options at the bottom of the hierarchy (e.g. those with no child options) can be submitted. In the example above, you couldn’t submit 'A.1'. You could submit ‘A.1.1’, ‘A2' or ‘B’ because they don’t have any options below them.
