To start unlocking the power of Deskpro’s inbuilt AI features you will need to link your OpenAI account to your helpdesk, by creating an 'AI connection'.
In the Admin Interface navigate to AI > AI Setup & Logs > AI Connections
To create an AI source, click on + New button to open the 'Add Connection' drawer.
Insert your OpenAI API key into the 'Token' field (to create a new API key, navigate to https://platform.openai.com/api-keys and click 'Create new secret key')
You can also specify the Organization ID you would like to use for the AI Connection if needed and the base URL for your OpenAI API key. (Optional)
Ensure you have read and accept, Deskpro's AI Supplemental Terms.
Press the 'Create' button to add the AI connection to your helpdesk and send a test request to your AI provider
Your new connection will be displayed within the AI Connections table.
Once your connection is created, you should see a success modal appear and you can configure which of Deskpro AI's features you would like to use to empower your customer support team.
