Step 1:
From within your vSphere controller, right click on your preferred cluster and select Deploy OVF Template.

Step 2:
Copy and paste https://get.deskpro.com/amd64/deskpro-vmware.ova into the URL field and press Next
Alternatively, you can download the OVA and upload it manually if there are any problems with the above.

Step 3:
Choose any name for you new VM, and select a Cluster for the VM to exist in. Press Next

Step 4:
Select your preferred Compute Resource and press Next

Step 5:
Review your settings, and press Next if you are happy.

Step 6:
Select your preferred Virtual disk format - we recommend using Thin Provision for the quickest deployment. Any format can be used.
Your VM Storage Policy can be left as default.
Select your preferred Datastore from the list. This is the hard disk/file system your VM will be provisioned on.
You can optionally choose to Encrypt the virtual machine, this is not required and can be turned off.

Step 7
Select your preferred Destination Network - you may want to deploy this on a specific internal network.
Select your IP allocation and protocol. In most scenarios, we recommend IPv4 and DHCP. This will automatically grab you a free IP address. Press Next
If you are an advanced user, you may configure a static IP.

Step 8:
Review your settings, and click on Finish to deploy the VM.

Click on Monitor >> Tasks and Events >> Tasks to view the progress.

Finalization
When the VM is created, open up the console. After the VM boots up, you should see a welcome screen. You can navigate the following screens with the arrow keys and the tab key.

You will be prompted to set a new root
password for your server

Once that is complete, select the IP address associated with your server. If you use a NAT IP to a local IP, select your local IP.

Your new OPC should now be installed, and you should see a URL for the OPC web interface in the console window.
