Hi Christoph, You should actually be able to do this through the languages admin area. If you go to Admin > Setup > Languages > 'Language you want to edit' > Edit Phrases here under the 'Resources' list you should see Knowledgebase categories. Here you should be able to translate the categories you've added. Hope that helps but feel free to log a ticket if you'd like any more details.
