Before you start
This guide assumes that you already have an external server running ElasticSearch 6+ that you wish to use for your helpdesk.
If you do not have an existing ElasticSearch server, you can find a guide to install ElasticSearch here.
Configuring an external ElasticSearch Server
During the Import Instance stage of your migration, you have the option under Elasticsearch to select either the Internal Server or to use an External Server.
Select External Server and additional options will display to configure your external MySQL database
URL - The URL for your external ElasticSearch server, with port.
Index - The index you would like to use. You can use an existing empty index, or the OPC will create a new one.
Once all the information has been entered, click Validate Parameters to test the connection. If everything connects successfully, return to your migration guide.
