I thing it would be better looking to use dedicated unicode characters instead of ascii characters for arrows (→) and intends (└).

Actually I think the "--" intend for sub departments could be replaces with just one or two spaces, since the parent departments are bold and not selectable already.

Also the department avatar should be rendered after the intend, otherwise it looks weird.
