This section describes how to install Deskpro on Ubuntu/Apache from scratch.

Installing and maintaining Deskpro On-Premise on Linux requires basic server administration skills. We offer a Deskpro On-Premise installation service.

Deskpro does not require a large investment in hardware and will run well on a standard virtual machine; almost any physical dedicated server will run Deskpro.

If you are expecting to have a very busy helpdesk with a large number of agents, the limiting performance factor will generally be the database. Performance can be improved by increasing available RAM, and using fast disks for storage.

You can run all of Deskpro on a single server, or run the database and webserver on separate machines.
